stressed out.
The feeling like no matter what I do, I'm going to fall. Something will toss me over the edge. Instead of letting that happen, I make the decision myself. I get to decide when to jump.
- Rebekah Crane, The Upside of Falling Down
————————
A cloud floats around a vast blue sky
knowing it's place
but not knowing it's purpose.
Where does the cloud go?
In this fleeting moment,
the cloud is lost.
Does the cloud join the rest of the clouds —
blend in like a wallpaper
or a backdrop of a scenic photograph?
The other clouds are dark
and very heavy,
but this cloud is not ready yet.
The cloud knows where it should do,
but it doesn't want to.
It wants to be with the rainbow.
Perhaps in search of the rainbow,
the cloud could bump into a leprechaun
or maybe even a unicorn.
The cloud is stumbling upon dark skies
while desperately looking for the sun.
Trying hard not to implode.
Oh, cloud.
How disappointing you have been.
Opportunity costs are what you think about.
Go slow, cloud.
Your time will come.
When you finally know your true purpose.
————
Clouds are beautiful additions to the sky.
Without them, I wouldn't be looking at the sky as much.
Without them, I wouldn't be looking up so much.
Don't forget to look up.

M.
feeling lost and i don't know what to do now.
what i chose ain't really gonna work out.
fallin' six feet underneath the floor now.
think i'm gonna tap out.
feel bad, go to bed.
wake up even worse yeah.
so sad, in my head.
feeling like a curse.
