Sharing my heart.
Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not;
and often times we call a man cold when he is only sad.— Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
————————
Sally had one secret that she didn't like to tell anyone;
the one that kept her going in life.
All the bad things somehow kept finding their way to Sally,
but she kept going.
Every one thought that Sally was too thin.
She wouldn't eat her meals fully,
scrimping on the essentials.
She just kept going on.
Under constant scrutiny and criticism,
sick of hearing comments about her body image,
she then began to maintain a somewhat healthy lifestyle.
Maybe that was the way to keep going.
Eating excessively and pushing her limits in cardio workouts.
Determined to prove to everyone but herself,
so much so that she began to feel weak in the knees,
but she kept going.
Tears or sweat,
Sally didn't know the difference —
nor did she want to know,
she just kept going on.
Sally had that one secret that she would bring to her grave,
the one that somehow kept her going till now.
A deep passion in life.
That's all she had to keep going.

M.
It's tearing me apart.
But I know I'd miss you, baby,
If I left right now.
