The threads are both loose,
inching closer.

The knot-turned-thread wanted to knot again,
this time with the thread.

The two hanging threads could knot together,
be connected.

The knot-turned-thread inched closer,
only to see the thread not a thread anymore.
The thread-turned-knot was no longer a hanging thread.
The new knot creating the distance.

The knot-turned thread remained a hanging thread,
the thread-turned-knot remained a hanging knot.

Hanging knot meets hanging thread,
they hang.
